About Dr. Rudy Ramos

Governor Rick Perry named Rodolfo “Rudy” Ramos Jr. of Houston to serve on the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners from 2009 to 2017. Serving at the pleasure of both Governor Perry and Governor Abbot, Dr. Ramos was appointed president of the board from 2012 to 2017. The board oversees licensing and regulation of dental care providers in Texas and enforces state laws regulating the practice of dentistry. Dr. Ramos currently serves on the board of directors for the Western Regional Examination Board.

Educations & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University
• Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch of Houston in 1990.

Experience

• Over 25 years of experience in the dental field as a D.D.S.

Community Involvement

Dr. Ramos is owner and president of Rudy Ramos D.D.S, P.C. He is a member of the Texas Dental Association, Academy of Dentistry International, Houston Dental Society and Memorial Drive United Methodist Church’s Guatemala Mission Dental Team.
